GIGO Home Waste System

GIGO is a smart bin that helps homeowners manage their recyclable, compostable, and landfill waste. It integrates with an app to collect and analyze data, and to offer suggestions for reducing users’ environmental footprints. GIGO is configurable to suit the user’s waste management needs, objectives and usage. Users whose municipalities provide single stream recycling can use the three-insert configuration, while users who need to separate recyclables can use four or five. Digital load sensors read the weight of each insert to determine waste usage and communicate it to the app. It has a long-lasting rechargeable battery, as well as a microprocessor and a WiFi module to collect and sync data to the app.
